Dr. Pradeep, Clinical Director

Dr. Pradeep.V. R has a bachelors and a master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Speech and Hearing, Mangalore University. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy in Audiology from Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Speech and Hearing, Mangalore University.

He nearly has a decade of experience in Speech therapy and Audiology and has served in several prestigious institutions like Masonic Medical Center for Children, PSG Vishnugranthi, Vikram ENT Hospital & Research Institute and M.C.V Memorial ENT Trust. He has served as the HOD and handled Tamil Nadu Cochlear Implant Program in Vikram ENT Hospital & Research Institute and performed more than 150 Cochlear Implant NRT, switch on, Mapping and AVT Therapy.

Dr. Pradeep, Clinical Director

His vast set of skills include performing diagnostic testing on adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients using standard pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance audiometry and otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) for diagnostic purposes. He has conducted cochlear implant and middle ear implant evaluations to determine candidacy for implantation. He is also accomplished in completing initial activations, follow-up programming, and performance testing, and troubleshooting for Cochlear and Med-El devices.

He provides hearing aid consultations, selections, fittings using speech mapping, counseling, follow up, troubleshooting and programming adjustments for patients of varying ages and level of need and has also counseled patients regarding assistive listening devices including FM system technology. Dr. Pradeep evaluates patients via electrophysiological measures including auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing as well as vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) testing. He is proficient in Universal Hearing Screening protocols as well as with testing newborn children via screening and threshold ABR tests.

Shailaja is a trained and experienced professional in counseling and rehabilitation of speech, language and swallowing problems. Her clinical interest involves swallowing disorders in children and adults, motor speech disorders, acquired adult language disorders following stroke and traumatic brain injury, voice disorders in children and adults, speech, language and listening therapy for hearing impaired.

With Masters in Audiology from Bangalore University, she is conversant in dealing with the diagnosis and detection of the nature and extent of hearing impairment in both pediatric and geriatric population. She is experienced in successfully carrying out standard diagnostic tests. Her areas of interest include diagnostic audiology, electrophysiological assessment, cochlear implant, auditory verbal therapy and complete rehabilitation for individuals with speech, hearing and language disorder.
